Cord Clamps

Umbilical Cord Clamps are sterile, disposable plastic clips used to clamp the umbilical cord of a newborn immediately after birth. They are designed to occlude the blood vessels in the cord securely to prevent bleeding. Made from non-toxic, medical-grade plastic, they feature a serrated clamping surface and a locking mechanism that prevents accidental opening. Once applied, the clamp stays on the cord stump until it dries and falls off naturally or is removed. Supplied sterile.

Description

Our Sterile Umbilical Cord Clamps are designed for safety and ease of use in the delivery room.

Features:
– Dual Grip: Grooved clamping surface prevents the cord from slipping, even when covered in Wharton’s jelly/fluids.
– Secure Lock: Features a permanent locking mechanism (click-lock) that engages with a tactile click. Once locked, it cannot be reopened without a specific cutting tool, ensuring it does not disengage accidentally.
– Material: Biocompatible polymer, safe for prolonged skin contact.
– Smooth Edges: Rounded contours prevent irritation to the baby’s abdominal skin or the mother’s skin during breastfeeding/kangaroo care.

Usage:
Applied to the umbilical cord after cutting. It provides immediate hemostasis. The clamp is lightweight and does not drag on the navel. Single-use, ETO sterilized. Essential for every delivery pack.
