Urine Bags
Urine Bags (Drainage Bags) are sterile collection reservoirs connected to catheters to collect urine. These are typically standard bedside bags with a 2-liter capacity. They feature a long inlet tube to connect to the catheter, a non-return valve (anti-reflux) to prevent urine flowing back into the bladder (reducing infection risk), and a drainage tap at the bottom for emptying. They are marked with graduations to allow monitoring of urine output. Essential for bedridden or post-operative patients.
Our Standard 2000ml Urine Collection Bags are designed for hygienic and efficient urine drainage in the hospital or home care setting.
Features:
– Capacity: 2 Liters (2000ml).
– Anti-Reflux Valve: A critical safety feature that prevents urine from flowing back up the tubing into the bladder, significantly reducing the risk of ascending urinary tract infections.
– Drainage Tap: easy-to-use outlet (T-tap or Push-pull) allows for quick emptying without disconnecting the bag, maintaining a closed system.
– Tube: kink-resistant inlet tubing (usually 90-100cm) allows the bag to be hung on the side of the bed frame.
– Hanger: Reinforced eyelets or integrated hanger for secure attachment to bed rails.
Usage:
The bag should always be positioned lower than the patient’s bladder to facilitate gravity drainage. Do not let the bag rest on the floor to prevent contamination of the tap. Monitor the volume regularly using the printed scale. Single-use, sterile fluid path.
